Rear-Side Exhaust Vents/Extractors

Being attempted on my 2015 Shelby Mustang. These place the exhausts on each side behind the rear wheels, at rocker panel level. Multiple angled side vents (chromed) force exhaust to the rear side. Provides the look of side pipes without the problem of heat and room along side the car.

Flush Trunklid/ safety bumpers

Also called 'zero offset' bumpers. Lincoln is using them as well as Acura and some others.
I was using this first I believe on my Large Luxury Coupe GM Concepts. This comprised on a flush trunk lid with no bumper protruding sill. The bumper is made of Polyurethane line the rest of the bumper, yet the rear vertical piece is back by energy absorbing cells. In effect, the trunk lid becomes part of the bumper system.

LED light pipe side trim/indicators

Suggested by a co-worker. This would take LED light-pipes, like that seen on the new 2010 Cadillac CTS, and implement them in trim along side the car. In this use, they would light and indicate as running lamps and turn signals. Could also be used to extend tail lights around car.

Hide-away Glass tinted windows

Suggested by a co-worker. This takes the glass seen in some homes that can alter an LCD layer to go from opaque to clear and back. In this case the tint is applied when power is applied to turn it on. When off, windows are clear. Adjustable setting could apply different levels of tint as well. Downside is cost and low temperature performance delays for changing states.

Hide-away Glass moonroof/skylights

This takes the glass seen in some homes that can alter an LCD layer to go from opaque to clear and back. In this case the tint is applied when power is applied to turn it on. When off, windows are clear. Adjustable setting could apply different levels of tint as well. Downside is cost and low temperature performance delays for changing states.

Transmissive Glass Instrument Panel

Another use for Transmissive Glass as seem on WMS slot machines. In that function, the glass in front of the mechanical physical reels can play movies and display graphics.
In this car application it is used to augment Instruments, by 'playing' the dial indicators and warning lamps in front of the instrument. For example, an increasing and enlarging pie shaped region could be present as the car revs to red line. Also, the glass could be in front of the lower windshield to provide a form or a heads up display.

Opaque/Translucent Headlights

First attempted on my Large rear drive Ford project, but never implemented due to cost (although a Lincoln version would have likely utilized this). This takes the glass seen in some homes that can alter an LCD layer to go from opaque to clear and back. In this case the headlights are 'covered' until power is applied to turn them on, and then they appear. When off, they appear as black, making this a fit for grill applications. Downside is cost and low temperature performance delays for changing states.
